A Green Box, a Quiet Revolution
GreenBox Farms was founded with a simple vision: to grow premium quality, fresh fruits and vegetables locally, sustainably, and reliably.
In Pakistan, high-quality strawberries are often limited by seasonality, an inconsistent supply, long transport routes, and post-harvest losses. We began GreenBox Farms to change that.
GreenBox Farms is a women-led agri-tech startup focused on building a smarter way to farm. By combining modern farming systems, climate control, efficient water use, and carefully selected strawberry varieties, we are working to produce fruit that is consistent in quality, taste, and freshness.
We hand-pick at peak ripeness. We deliver in hours, not days. But the strawberry is only the headline. What we are really building is a model for climate-smart agriculture: sustainable, replicable, and led by women. Proof that Pakistan can grow extraordinary food at home, all year round.
BUILT BY WOMEN
GreenBox Farms is led, operated, and harvested by women, with a women-led team on the ground.
We are also building towards a parallel apprenticeship cohort of women from the surrounding rural communities, training them as controlled-environment-farming operators for our next phase.
Every wage we pay lands in a bank account in her name - for many, the first they've held. Documented, traceable income that compounds beyond the job: access to credit, savings, and a financial identity of her own.

FROM A FEW CELLS
It starts long before the plant does.
Our plants aren't raised from runners bought in a sack. We propagate high-end day neutral varieties through tissue culture. Thousands of non GMO, disease-free plantlets grown from a few cells of clean mother stock. Uniform plants mean fruit that's consistent punnet to punnet. Clean stock is a large part of how the room stays pesticide-free. And because we control the light and climate inside, the plant never waits on the weather, so the season stops mattering.
